Can't find steel RSR Fender/Flares
Okay. About a week ago. I called Zuffenhaus. They took my info, my name, phone number, yada, yada, and they still haven't called me back. I was wanting to know where I could get steel, 1973 RSR flares. Is it possibly to buy fenders from another model 911, and send them to someone to be refinished to the right dimensions? Thanks for the help.

Most people use 930 weld on fender flares front and rear. Jim

For the most part they work fine. On the front fenders you have to add material to put the early 911 front turn signals in the fender. So a search many guys have built early RSR 911's and all of this is detailed in threads on Pelican. Did you buy any books to read yet? Jim

Some of the guys building these cars are making light weight cars and are using fiberglass front bumpers, hood, trunk lid with duck tail, front fenders, rear bumpers and only using steel rear turbo flares. Jim

There are no books that I know of on the subject. Better then google would be search here on Pelican. I have seen the issue come up before but can't remember the threads.
TRE would be a good place to check with. He is here on the board too.
