Well, I wimped out and sent it out
As anyone who followed my mirror welding thread knows, I wimped out and sent the car for paint. Got it back today.....

Pretty excited to say the least!! Lots of assmebly work ahead, plus I am tackling my first headliner...... Hope to have some of the headliner in tomorrow and most of the bodywork put back on...

I have been following your threads, might have missed the last update though, will go check it out.

It looks fantastic Jeff, Maybe you wil get to paint the next one. we need pictures when you are all done.
Did you do the body work?, I remember talking about some tools.

I've been following your build.. wasn't sure it was the same when I saw the green car in another thread today! Congrats dude.. looking good! How is that 3.4 coming along... any pics? Also, haven't forgot.. need to get back with you in a bit about wheel halves... Paul

On the first tune with about 800 miles on the motor it made 285 at the wheels. Once I get reassemble I am going back to the dyno again for more fine tuning, temp correction maps etc. But it is running really really well! Cheers

No wimping out!! I have worked with automotive paint for 20 years at the OEM level. Painted tens of thousands of component parts on an assembly line. Painted my own few parts on the Carrera BUT... I'd NEVER try painting the whole car!!! It looks awesome. Sometimes we just have to know our limitations. You'd have felt like crap if it had dry spray, sags and such.

Jeff, are you going to put carrera graphics on it? It would be cool to do another shade of green if you did, instead of the black. But that's just me...

Hmmm, I had considered black graphics or yellow....... Those are the track wheels, street will be my new 17 inch fuchs.... now you guys have me thinking......
It may have more than just the side graphics when it is done, not sure yet.... Cheers
