CUP wheel paint

I have a slight scape on one of my 993 cup wheels at the rim edge and need some touch up paint.
Anyone know what I might be looking for and where I might get some paint either as a spray can or stick. They are the standard silver/gray finish.

Are you referring to one the "argent" steel colors?

Not sure what paint I'm after? I figured there must be some special paint for these wheels, different from that used on the car bodies. All the Porsche wheels seem to look like they use the same silver paint.
Here's a picture.
Thanks!

Robert, are those alloy wheels? Or are they just painted steel wheels? I run BBS 3-piece wheels, so I don't know enough about that type wheel to know if they are steel or an alloy type wheel. They almost look like and alloy, but...? There are several different shades or tone of the argent type "silver" paint available. Those wheels almost look like anodized alloy wheels, and most of the spray-on type argent paint may not look quite right. Get a magnet a test the wheels with it to see if it is other than an alloy wheel, then might be able to come up with an actual paint code for a near perfect match. But check with a magnet, if it sticks to the rim, or any part other that maybe the lug-nuts, it is going to be ferrous metal and could be painted to look just fine. Keep us posted. Good luck!! Tony.

Did this on my wheels last year and came out great. Use Wurst Clear Laquer over Einszett Silver (Silber) Spray Paint ( both available from Pelican ). There is a great article on the audiworld.com tech section that steps you through the whole process

Robert, I used to refinish wheels for a living and have done these wheels before. Matching the paint is the key to a successful job. A lot of silver out there and maybe you can find Worth with the right tint. From the picture, they look painted and then clearcoated.
Before you paint, spray a paint out card and hold it next to the wheel in sunlight to see if the tint matches. Don't forget to sand area up to at least 600 grit before painting.
I usually put on 2 base coats and 2 to 3 clears.
If you can see a line or ridge, remember it will be amplified when painted and cleared.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.
Don

Thanks to all! griffx4 great link!

They are indeed 933CUP wheels and are alloy. They are painted silver. I have filed the bad lip smooth and wet sanded with 600 paper. I'm waiting for my can of Einszett Silver (Silber) Spray Paint from pelican. Seems they had a mislabeled can I received and I had to send back and I'm still bit impatient waiting for the correct can to be sent out once they receive back the wrong can they sent me. Hum..Who's on third...
