Will 964 engine lid fit SC & Carrera?
Hey Guys....
Are there any fitment issues in mounting a 964 engine lid on a mid 80s SC or Carrera? I know the 964 hinges and closing panel are different.. but they look like they are positioned the same oon the uderside of the lid. Any mods needed? Rudy.. whatta you say? I know you guys have done this!! Thanks!!

Swapping stock hinges isn't going to help you. The hinges on the 964 lid are about 1 inch wider on each side than the stock ones so the you need to have hinges modified to make the lid work.
Do a search for Matt-man. I believe he is the guy welding modified hinges to work for this.

We have make the stock hinges work, to complete the look, but it does need a bit of work and imagination.
If you can buy the hinges already modified, it will save time.
