Paint life
I have some PPG base coat and clear coat that has been sitting on the shelf for a couple of years. Is there any reason not to use it? I should have enough to paint my roller and it would sure save me some money.

Not to avoid the question but it literally depends on the actual paint and the color. Reds and blues for some reason don't have quite the shelf life as say whites and blacks. With that said shake/stir the paint 3 minutes after you think you've shaken it enough. Check the bottom for pigment settling. If there is, shake/stir more until the paint is homogeneous. Spray a sample 6x6 panel to mfg. directions. After it's cured do a cure check. That is, take some acetone, (wifes nail polish remover), and soak a rag. With medium pressure do 50 double wipes. You should have no color transfer. If it's cured I say there is no reason not to use it. Good luck.
