"RatRod" Black 997
Being doing a little research regarding the RatRod black paint for my 928...I have a client who has an old Hudson in this black and he suggested it a long time ago...starting to look pretty cool.
I found this in my continuing search/due dilligence.

Very difficult to maintain... I would recomment trying a different idea. BTDT

Nonsense on the hard to maintain bit...just use the modern flattening agents when painting so you'll have a clear coat mixed in to prevent the talcing and balling up you'd get from a primer paint...PPG makes the stuff needed.
Just have a good shop do the body prep and paint - it will show ANY imperfection. Below is my Blackbird...

Saw a nice Harley, with a unique blue paint, not flat, not satin it was called suede. Very cool look

With the increasing popularity of the "matte finish" on cars now, you might even be able to find it in a factory pack of the correct color and degree of flat finish that is desired. If you can get it in a factory pack, it would be a lot less expensive, to get a quality paint finish for it. Good luck!! Tony.

If you'd like a single stage paint instead of b/c you can try PPG #9295 in DCC (Concept, acrylic urethane).
The formula "Low Gloss Black" already has a large quantity of matt base to give it the satin sheen of a late 60's & early 70's Ford Mustang hood... Add more of the matt base to your "flatness" taste. SEM also makes a new "Hot Rod Black" single stage product made specifically for your stealth application.
