Would you remove this dent?
This crease is in the rear apron. It has no effect on dimensions or panel fit. I'm taking the car down to bare metal (nice thin paint), shooting it with epoxy primer, then filler as needed...
Should I pull this out or just leave it alone? Rest of car is excellent, tiny bit of welding in upper rear deck, front molding lip and will fill in speak wire holes in A-pillars. If pull, what's the best method? ![]()

shaun,
a stud welder would pull that out easily. you can get one at harbour freight for about $100. but that would disrupt the galvanizing, i vote leave it alone. bob

Hi Shaun;
Are you talking about that small dent adjacent to the tail light opening? Doesn't it get covered anyway? You should be able to get behind it with a brass punch or piece of hardwood and gently tap most of it out, finish with a thin coat of body filler. Doesn't look like a big deal. Happy new year, my targa is almost done!! |
