Metal Source
I have a rather large hole in the smugglers box of a 70 911t to fill (after removing an aftermarket AC).
What are the best sources for sheet metal to fill this. What type/gauge or other factors should I consider? ![]() |

Cmoanz,
You beat me to this post!! I have the same issues with the a/c system I have removed from my '67 912. Anyone? I was thinking about the hood from any old Honda or something from a junk yard. Brian www.9magazine.com |

Any sheet metal will do. Porsches are made from 1mm metal, which is almost the same as 18 ga.
If you can flatten that out around the edges, a panel bonding agent will be a snap. |

Local rednecks use the side panels from washers and dryers from the local dump for such sheet metal with great results !
