Painting floors, removal of sound deadening, prep?
I'm embarking on a lightened 87 Carrera project. The car is a rust free guards red coupe. I plan a relatively minimalist interior; i.e. rear seat/sound pad/console/ac delete, perlon on rear shelf, aluminum front floors in lieu of wood, lightened seats, etc, etc. I want to leave the floors/inside rockers bare and painted to match the car just using removeable carpet pieces for day to day use that can be removed for track days.
What prep/paint do you recommend that will withstand some traffic? I'm a neophyte painter but have access to a fully equipped paint shop. Thanks in advance.

Mr. P...about to show my ignorance here...epoxy mastic? Not familiar...can it be color matched or is it a primer you shoot then paint over it?
