Suspension Paint Preferenes

I am in the process of refinishing some front suspension parts and am stuck on the paint. It looks like the factory used a semi-gloss black paint. Does anybody know what kind of paint this is or where you can get it? Also, any thoughts on powder coating this type of part? I am thinking it would probably be better to stay with the original factory method but I don't know. What do the experts say?

2 choices semi gloss paint vs. powdercoat.
paint pros: repairable/recoat; cheap; correct
cons: less durable

powdercoat pros: extremely durable
cons: not repairable; thick, can affect clearances

i use SEM's rust-shield alot . its a dead nuts catch to the OE coating . its a single coating application meaning no priming is needed . just like OE . it has excellent corrosion control being cromeated . if you mix the flat black 8 to 1 with there hardener it will match the gloss to a tee . it has the same mill build as the OE finish with the same chip resistances (with proper prep ) get a TDS technical data sheet . it comes in QTS and GAL. and at about 60 dollars a gal. its cost affective .over the last 30 plus years i have been doing this crap for a living. i have tried most all products on the market and i keep going back to rust-shield .

I knew there must be a downside to powdercoating but I just didn't know what it was. Now that I know, I think I will go with the recommended SEM paint. I am in Southern California so I hope it is available. The Government around here would like you to color your car with crayons. Thanks for the replies, problem solved.
