I cannot believe it!!!! But Im glad!!!

I have been searching for a few months for a good , reputable paint shop to paint my restoration 71 targa after firing my body shop for putting my car aside and not working on it very much. I have been in contact with some of the worlds best in the restoration business through my many automotive contacts from being a service director for many years . One of my contacts directed me to a fellow car nut at Barrett Jackson. During our first conversation after a few email volleys he stated "how lucky I must feel being that close to Chad". I was like "Chad??? What do you mean?" He said " Chad Garrison". I said "who". Then he went on to tell me of what he described as one of the best automotive restorers he has seen in his 35+ years in the business. I was eager as hell to find out who this dude was. He made a few phone calls and then got hold of ""Chad" and let em talk to him to find out where he was located. I was blown away to find out that for 8 years I have been driving 150 feet from his shop door 2 times a day and never knew it!! Turns out this guy has been restoring classics right under my nose and I never knew. He don't advertise , he has no sign, and he has a 2 year back log. I made and appointment and went by his shop to see it and to talk to him about my project. I was so blown away by the unbelievable work he had done . I looked at his "book" and also a few of the cars in his shop and had instant wood :D. This is my guy!! Oh, he also said he will squeeze me in a little ahead of the back log ... I'm so phsyced!!!

This guy does several cars a year for the SEMA show! Just incredible work .

Glad to hear it. I had a similar epiphany many years ago when I found out one of the nation's (which means world's, I suppose) foremost 1st gen. Camaro restorers worked out of his 6,000 sq. ft. home garage five miles from my house in Alpharetta. Good luck with the project and make sure you post pics . . .

Oh I forgot to mention that he is exactly 4 mins. from my house !

Oh and Cayman, I have been in your neck of the woods many , many times when I attended the GM training facility . I bet I went to 100 classes and seminars there.
