Hi,
I am finishing up a '69 911 restoation. Most of the mechanical expenses are now behind me. Now, I turn my attention to the interior goodies. I have an OEM leather-covered 400MM steering wheel. The leather is a bit faded, but still mostly there, The stitching needs to be replaced completely. I see wheel rebuilders who put new leather and padding in to refinish these wheels. Anybody know of a show who will just re-lace my wheel? Michael

i have done so many porsche wheels over the years . if you have the leather and all it needs is to be restiched . then go to the sewing store . take the wheel with you show them the size of the thread that is on the wheel and match it up . also get 2 C-shaped needles . and when your sitting watching TV restich it . take your time copy how porsche stiched it . make the stiches look good . its not that hard just takes a little time . if you can work on your own car then you have the brains to restich a wheel ?
