Fiberglass 911 Deck Lid - poor fit
I purchased a fiberglass deck lid from a board member, never installed. The fit in general is OK, but the thin portion between the grill and the leading edge of the lid is not arched correctly. When flush at the corners, the middle of the leading edge stands proud of the sheet metal at the base of the rear window by about 1/4".
Is there any way to fix this, or should I stick a fork in it and call it done?

when you buy composite ( fiborglass or carbon ) you always have to make them fit ! it does not matter if its a 1100 dollar front bumper to a countach or a 300 dollar hood on a honda . even the best fitting ones need to be altered . i hear mine fit mint !! and when you look at it as a body man . i say to my self LIKE HELL IT DOES !!! you can live with it or alter it ! what people have to always remember when buying a composite panel is that your buying a basic shape of the panel for your car that is all .
