Sealer under Tangerine

Hi all,

I'm in the final stages of prepping my car for paint. I'm going to be delivering car and paint to a shop here in Santa Barbara in about two weeks. It will be painted as a two-stage in PPG Envirobase Tangerine. It will be sealed first with PPG ECS21. I've read here (but can't find the thread) that the sealer under tangerine should be white to get proper topcoat color. My painter gave me more food for thought when he said that sealers can be tinted any shade of gray, and plain white is relatively rare, although he had never painted tangerine specifically. Can anyone tell me if I want anything other than plain white shot under the tangerine base coat?

Freddie H., especially, if you're out there, this was recently done on 'Doug's targa' (Doug's Targa Get's Naked). Can you give me sealer specifics?

Thanks,
Mike

Since this got a fair number of views, I should add that Freddie replied in an email: plain white sealer is fine, particularly under PPG Envirobase tangerine as its coverage is excellent.
