Can anyone point me to an threads showing the process of replacing rear quarter panels/fenders and the rear cross member? I have searched but no luck.

just look at it and see how its installed . drill out the spot welds and remove the old QTR. the same goes for the x-member .

ya its been hacked . but is it square ? did you do any measuring to see ? there talking about long and short lids . does not matter if you have the hole rear clip ! just change every thing over . if you need the measurements you have the new clip to get them . as for were to cut and replace that all comes down to how out of square the car is . when you do your measuring do it from as far forward as you can from as many places as you can . do cross measurments as well . the best way to do your measuring is with a tramgage . you can make one out of 1"x1"x 6' angle stock and 2 peaces of 6"long x 1/4"round stock grind a point at one end of the round stock . use vice grips to hold the round stock to the 6 foot angle stock . that way you can move the posts up and down and forward and back on the angle stock .
