Unhappy Advice Needed on 911 Tire Rubbing

Hello All, I have recently obtained a new wheel tire set ( via the Pelican site!) for my 88 narrow body Carrera. They are BBS LMs with Potenzas. It was claimed that these are a special offset and together the combo comprises the largest wheel/tire setup that can fit on a regular narrow body 88. I love this setup ...but they rub and catch in the front even in low stress driving. ( i do not track this car) see photos. I have learned that these fenders can be rolled or shaved. Are those the best/only options and how much should this cost? I have had multiple shops look at this ..and i have gotten responses from..." no way" to "yes can do but will have to repaint both fenders" etc. For years, I have been running Ruf 8s and 9s with Michelins and the car has been lowered and corner weighted. I suppose I can have original ride height restored but must deal with damage allready incurred. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks Frank

if it was coming to my shop i would tell you yes we can roll the fenders . i have a tool that is made for rolling wheel openings . some times it cracks the paint in that case it would call for a re paint on the panels were the paint cracked . looking at the amount that the fenders need to get rolled . i would tell you its about a 70% chance that it will need to be refinished . if the finish did crack i would have you come down to the shop and go over the refinishing proese with you . it would most likely be spot the color in and clear the hole panel .

Have fat person sit on fender, get an axe handle or a sledge hammer handle, insert between tire and fender have someone push car roll the handle across wheel well keeping the handle on the tire....you just rolled the fender !

You can buy fender rollers that are very easy to use, search "Fender roller auto body kit" and you will find several. an auto body shop will charge you quite a bit for this, but for $250.00 you can do it yourself, and if the paint cracks at the roll take it in and have them respray the fender. I've used this style if roller several times and they work slick.
