What to clean and prime suspension pan with?

Installed the suspension pan and want to primer it and paint.
Can i clean galvinized pan with acetone and use self etching primer.

acetone ? first i would have to ask why ??? its not a prepaint cleaner ! i will give you a quick run down on cleaners . there are pre body work cleaners like polycracker and RM's 900 . then there are pre paint cleaners like RM's 901 . 901 type cleaners are made for cleaning the finish after you have done your sanding to prep it for your sprayables . then there are cleaners for plastics like RM's 902 . plastic cleaners are made for cleaning raw rubber and plastics . you will be better off using a product that is made for the task you are doing !
