Whats the best cleaner to use to remove wax from the stone guards and other bits of rubber/black plastic?

I am trying to find a solution for was residue removal as well.
I just purchased a very nice RS America. Previous owner waxed it often but their is residue in every little crack and crevice. What is the best way to remove the residue? Is their a solution that will break it down? Thanks John

I spent the day with a bottle of cirtus degeaser and some rags. :-)
It worked very well. Still need to go back and touch up some spots. The wax residue was heavy on this car. One suggestion. Pour some citrus degreaser into a smaller container because if you keep dipping your brush into it it will become dirty. Have fun!

I use Griot's "Dried On Wax Remover" and it works very well. Give it a minute or 2 to work before wiping it off...

Charles Goodyear is also responsible for the Blimp that flies over football stadiums. There were originally two types of lighter than air craft. The A - type was rigid and the B - type was limp (combine B - limp and you have Blimp. Cool!). Expect un-vulcanized rubber to be a mix of very long limp chain molecules like a bowl of spaghetti. That makes them rather flexible until stretched taut like a rubber band taking out all the slack. Vulcanized rubber added sulfur to the mix to help take out the slack. Rubber bands can be manufactured by dipping a rod of the correct diameter into a batch of (latex) rubber and letting it cure. The rubber bands can then be cut from the rod like so many O'rings (side by side). Early un-vulcanized tires often punctured (even several time during a long trip). Some gave up and stuffed them with grass, etc. just to get back home. I don't believe that Goodyear invented the blimp but they did use it effectively for their advertising.

I think microfiber mitts/towels and wool mitts are both good options. You should ALWAYS pre-rinse the car with high water pressure (as high as you can) to blast off the bigger stuff first.
