Paint sun damage
I have a 1988 944 Turbo, Silver paint (original).
The car was originally from the south and the paint is crazing. Has anyone experience repainting with this type of damage? do I need to strip to bare metal or will modern primers cover? |

you will need to remove the checking finish . some times you don't have to go down the bare matel . if its only the clear that is checking . if the under coats are still in good shape you can prime and top coat over the OE under coats . its hard to say just how far to go with out seeing the finish that is there but if its what i think it is its just in the top coat ( clear ).
