color change help?

Hello. I bought a 1988 Porsche 911 491 Targa with 149,000 miles. its white and the paint is eh. I bought it with the intentions of doing a complete repaint and restoration. I having a hard time deciding which color, but Im positive of an unusual color. I like the oranges, purples, greens etc, but Im looking for a really off the wall odd Porsche color. A color that people get really emotional about. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I also don't have a problem going out side the mark for colors. Currently my car is a MB blue. If my daughter wasnt dead set on keeping it blue I would give some serious consideration to the brown audi used the R8 Spyder I think it is a gorogeous color. My car was originally a milk chocolate brown so it would be apropriate.

But it is all up to you. White is a great color too maybe you need to just clean it up?

Check these two web sites to see some of the early colors:

Porsche 911 Farbdatenbank

Glasurit Color codes and samples for 1966-

If it was me and I wanted something different, I think it would be Aubergine (1972/73 color code 025). If can, try to find a car you can see in "person". Very cool looking.
