WTB manual for 89 cabrio roof mechanism repair

My roof is acting up and I need a manual that covers the electric motor/mechanism for my 1989 911 top. Bentley is lacking for cabriolet info.
Any help is appreciated.

This website allows you to download the factory manuals for free. EDIT #2 - THE 84-89 MANUAL IN THIS LINK IS THE BENTLEY MANUAL AND NOT THE FACTORY MANUAL. SORRY - I DID NOT KNOW UNTIL I DOWNLOADED IT COMPLETELY.

However, I have tried loading the 84-89 manual (about 300MB) and have not succeeded yet. I get over a hundred MB of data then the download stops. I got the earlier ones no problem. I would try it at different times as there may be bandwidth issues on their end that kicks you off?

Edit #1 - I finally got it to work. Use internet explorer and go into task manager(control alt delete) Find IExplorer under processes and set the memory priority to high. (right click on the process). Shut everything down but the download window and then let it alone for a while. After you finish set the memory priority back to normal.

A MAC raises your street cred.

Wonder if the earlier manual would give you some tips? It is the factory manual but I know nothing of changes re the cab top.

Bob,

Again, thank you! All very helpful. For some reason the pdf won't open but it is probably on my end and am investigating.

Thanks for the help ALL! See links for your roof woes HERE

Hi Donald,
Try these links. I uploaded them to google docs. At top left (under file menu) should be an option to download the document. See if that works.
