Newb needs advice

Gents

I am in the midst of a retubbing project and ran into a dilemma. The spare tub has some rust in the left quarter/rear rocker section. Whats the best way to approach a situation like this?

PS. I have a spare section if needed.

Alex, that area is really bad. You'll need to completely cut it away and replace the metal.

John,

Thanx for the feedback. I assumed it was bad but trying to determine if I try to fix it myself or send it out. Where would you cut it?

Alex, is it a 924/44/68? Sorry but I'm not familiar with those. I'd start with finding a rust free chassis to cut the portion out that you need.

If you're in any doubt as to your skills, you may want to consider having a pro take it on.
