Ideas to "unroll" fender lips

The lips on Annie's rear quarters were rolled some time in the past and I want to unroll them in her restoration. I'm thinking of using a stud welder with studs placed every 3/4" or so and gradually massage the lips back into place.

Any other ideas or experience doing this?

That seems like a lot of extra damage to me to weld a stud to unroll a fender. I can think of a lot of ways to unroll a fender more easily. None of which would unroll with out "any" possible damage to the paint but would get the lip back to where it belongs. I can see using a wedge of wood to place in the gap between the lip and fender and pulling down a little at a time and moving slowly along the lip from front to back 1/8" or so at a time until the lip is back in position. Perhaps a stone hammer in lieu of a block of wood. Depending on how tight the lip is to the fender maybe even a pair of pliers gripping the lip and puling down a little at time until the lip is in position or a combination of all of the above until the lip is where you want it. Of course if you go to far you can use a hammer and dolly to get it back in place.

I don't see it as being that difficult of a job.

The body is being stripped for a repaint, so the studs would not be an issue.
