Question?? Stripping Paint Outdoors
MY CAR NEEDS THE PAINT STRIPPED
It lives under a cover outdoors in SOFLO. Once I remove the paint what do I spray on the metal to keep it from getting rusty as it sits there? If I use zinc chromate primer is it waterproof? My understanding is that primers are not waterproof. |

your under standing is 100% correct ! no primer is water proof . only top coats are . you could use a E-primer and should over bare metals . you can't just let it sit out in the weather . you can cover it with a tarp to keep the rain off but a tarp also holds moisture under it so you would have to remove the tarp from time to time to let the panels and tarp dry out .

Picklex is a great product, but it's not water proof, the car needs to be under cover.
