Changing front clips on a 911

Anyone take a complete front clip (from the center of the rocker panels across) off one 911 and put it on another? Does any one have any pics of the steps, precautions to take and needed size of the welder to be used? Thanks for your time and information bgblocks@yahoo.com

i have clipped many cars . because no 2 clip jobs are the same there are no set steps you have to take . you would not realy want to clip the car in the center of the rockers . when you clip a car always try to do it at the factory seams . when you do your splices you want them to be stagered . the A-piller and rockers have multiple layers of sheet metal so allot of the time you have to remove the outer layers of sheet matel to gain access to the inner layers . you will be ok using a good 110 mig welder .

Thanks for the response. Does the floor pan have to be removed before the cut (in the car I want to keep) ? That is, do I have to remove all the spot welds prior to making the cut into the my 74 and then cut the rockers and A-pillars? Also, what should I be looking at cost wise or time in hours to pay a good shop to weld the new clip on?
I plan to remove everything and drill out all the spot welds (but a few) prior to giving the car to the shop
