another paint code question
 

hello,
trying to find the paint code for my 83 911 books (tcp global) say alpine white and yet my paint (original) is slightly off white a little warmer (slight yellow) not white and not yellow/brown enough to be chiffon any help would be greatly appreciated...its definitely not white/white. thanks , ben

Have you looked at the paint code on the decal in the front trunk? It has the VIN and all the options on it.

there are 3 white used that will fall into the year of your car . chiffon white # 182 1981 to 2007 , grand prix white # 908 1973 to 1996 , alpine white # L90E / 90E 1977 to 1987 then from 1989 to date . if there is no paint code on the car call your porsche dealers parts dept with the vin # they can give you the color code of the car .
