Is '83 black same as '87?

I have an '83 black SC. Does an '87 have the same black paint?
Just want to know if body panels are interchangeable color wise.

did a search and found this:

"porsche stopped using lacquer in 1972 . after 1973 all porsche were painted with glasurit as there contract between the two CO's forbid the use of any other paint co's being used . the color code L700 is called standard package black . used from the year of 1977 to 1992 . after 1992 they were all base / clear blacks . if the car was painted up to the year of 1982 the car was painted in a urethane enamel after 1982 they were a straight urethane . so if its a solid color black at it falls in the years listed then the color code is 700 . after 1973 the L no longer stands for lesinal but the german word for paint ( Lackierung ) you will see this on vw/audi paint codes also."

So I guess yes, it's the same.

what ever you do don't use PPG black l700 or 700 , it looks brown
