Help me with it
Hey guys its my first post on this forum --my name is Shawn ,I have got a problem with my car and that is that am having a lead acid battery installed in my car ,its a new car and recently it sprayed a bit of acid onto my car's hood.. its black stains,i can feel it with my fingers.Its not rusty yet .. how can I remove them out
any procedure for this? Will hydrogen peroxide work for me? please help me out.I wanna remove it off.I have changed the battery also to dry one.

Baking soda will neutralize the acid.

sorry, you need to have the damage painted. Acid will permanently damage the paint.

But I have applied baking soda+water paste for half an hour.. it would have neutralized the acid?everythins ok now?

once any type of acid eats into a finish the only way to make it look right is to refinish it . you can neutraliz the acid but the damage is done . the only protection there is to the substraight (metal ) is the top coat . primers and under coats offer no protection at all . so over time with any of the top coat eaten away from the acid you will start to see rusting down the road .
