Removing paint from chrome ring
 

I have a chrome head light ring for an H4 which is painted and would like to remove the paint and have a shiny chorme ring.

Has anybody done this?

What will remove the paint and not harm the chrome?

i would say they must have sanded the chrome before they painted it ?????
if so remove the finish off the chrome you will only end up with a part that would need to be refinished again ?
if they did not sand the part before they painted it then you can just just a paint stripper on it .
