good by to my porsches
so as some may remember i'm moving my shops . i'm moving my fab shop from milford to danbury along with my airbrushing shop and then will be opening a full service shop all in one place .
so i was having cars towed out of the two shops today . what a sad thing it was ! i had to junk 4 944's and a old 930 body that was siting up on blocks for the last three years . i tried to sell the old 930 but no one wanted it . she was a car i raced back in the late 1980's early 90's . it had a full cage with lexan glass . i was hoping some one would want it and maybe put the old girl back on the track . it broke my heart to see it go off the the scrap yard . |

I would love to see your new shop, there is nothing like a clean shop in order.
John PS I would have taken the 930 if I knew about it. |

the porsches were on craigslist for months . one guy came and looked at the 930 he wanted to drive it on the street and the car was a total track only car now . the cost of turning into a street car again you could get a 930 that was a street car fot half the cost . i ended up tqaking all the fiberglass bolt on panels off and and the suspension only the shell went to the bone yard . they gave me 250. dollasr for the thing .
one of the 944's was a auto trans and it was no good trans wise . no one even call about that car . all the cars were listed as make me a offer . all the cars had to go because of the move . but i was thinking i would keep the 930 and get it back on the track some day . the thing is i don't want the town up my back side with junk cars in the lot when i'm going for a repair license at the new shop . |

I wish I would have seen it on Craigslist. Good luck in your new shop.
I need a sunroof roof for an 87 930 and was wondering if you know which year be be very very close to the same. I found a guy from the Hershey Swap meet that buys parts cars all the time. I had a real problem with a 68 911 sunroof replacement in the 80's during restoration. I want to get the newest roof I can and wanted to check with you first. Maybe up to the end of the C2? Thanks.

If I knew I would have also taken the 930. Then I would have been able to scrap the body of my nightmare project.
