Front suspension pan jig
Hi,
Currently working on a '70 911t, in need of a new suspension pan. The car was in an accident so I can't use the current pan as a reference for measurements to make a jig. Is there perhaps anyone here who has built such a jig and is prepared to share measurements/design with me? Even just having access to the correct layout and measurements would help! Thanks! when the cars get hit or we have to do alot of panel replacement on a resto job the cars get put on a celette fram bench . this is done for many reasons 1st to make dam sure the car is 100 % straight and the other is to make dam sure the car stays that way when it's cut apart and welded back together .
you have to rember when a unibody car gets hit it can and some times does make things out of wack thru out the hole chassis . i have the chassis spec's for the car but i can not email them do to how large they are . you would also need to get what is called a tram gage to check the chassis . a tape measure will just not do . |

Exactly the reasons for me wanting to build a jig. I have access to everything I need to build a very accurate and sturdy structure, but I can for the life of me not find a useful set of measurements. I actually have a design drawing for a jig, but it is scaled so small that I cannot accurately make out the measurements on it.
The damage is confined to the front-left of the car, specifically the section in front of the battery box, extending to the front left suspension mounting point. No further bending has occurred, so all I really need is height and plan references for the front suspension mounts. Given that you have access to a chassis spec, would it be to much of a favor to ask for you to provide me with a few key measurements that I need?
