Hi everyone,I've got old alkyd enamel on my '69.There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it.Can I seal it and use a urethane over it or should I take it off.I put 1/4 panel cutouts on the rear from a SC (I'm guessing)but it definitely has a more modern paint on it which is very hard with excellent adhesion. Can I seal and paint over? Thanks,TC.

wipe it down with a pre body work cleaner like RM's 900 sand it with a 320 to 400 dry or 400 to 500 wet then wipe it down again with a pre paint cleaner like RM's 901 then tack it off and then seal the top coat .
