What do you use to cut flares off with?
Getting ready to cut the rear Carrera flares off my '86 in preparation for hanging my 930 rear flares. I can use my cutoff wheel with 4" disc, or my 3" cutoff tool, or my pneumatic jig saw. Normally I'd use a cutoff wheel but that makes it tough to cut a semicircular arc, or am I wrong?

Bird. It's the word...

For straight lines a 1mm cut-off wheel; for curves the air saw is great, the gap created by both is perfect for using a Mig/Tig later to rejoin. I've also used an air "nibbler" and shears if a wider cut is acceptable, they leave a much nicer working edge but use up 3mm making their cuts.
