I need a sunroof roof for an 87 930 and was wondering if of you know which year would be very very close to the same.
I found a guy from the Hershey Swap meet that buys parts cars all the time. I had a real problem with a 68 911 sunroof replacement in the 80's during restoration. I want to get the newest roof I can and wanted to check with you first. Maybe up to the end of the C2? I bought a fixer 87 930S factory slant that I want to save. The body and the rest of the car is in really good shape but the roof has some damage. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I believe the vents above the rear window is deleted on the C2/C4 models, and I believe the front window uses another seal. I am not sure, it was too long ago, so please verify before you take my advice for truth.... :-)
I had the same issue a few years back, and ended up with a Carrera roof since they are readily accessible. Regards, Johan

Thanks Johan.
I can't remember what year the aluminum color slide rails ended and the black started. I am thinking 1986 but know the Carrera's started late 83 for 1984 model in the US.

If you need the full roof, then I can't help. But if it's the full sunroof cassette you're looking for I have the one I cut out of my'86. Needed to remove to properly weld a roll cage that a cage builder didn't properly weld, and replaced the roof skin with a fiberglass skin.

Thanks Ed. I found a guy in PA with a bunch of complete roof's real cheap. I just want to make sure and buy the right one because of shipping and I won't be driving back over there until April during the Hershey meet.
What color are your sliding rails if you don't mind me asking?
