Vinyl Wrap - Which is best

Hi all

3m 1080 seems the forerunner, any other suggestions?

You know the color Guards Red, the color of my vehicle, I believe the closest is "Hot Rod Red" in the 3M vernacular.

Contemplating doing it on an '83 911 as a temporary thing, any idea how many sf are necessary.

Thanks!

Can't help with the square footage but my shop can get you any factory color you want up to 60" wide.

I have used 3M. It is truly amazing what you can do with it. It is extremely forgiving. As long as you keep things clean.

3M 1080 is easy to work
IMO the Hot rod red is too orange for Gaurds red match.
get some samples at try it.

I would get at least 45' x 60"
That gives you enough for a couple of mistakes...

I had to order 6' more.

Just did my late model in 3m 1080. All the wrap places will tell you thats the way to go. I hired a guy from a shop to do it at my house so the labour rate was 1/3 the shop rate. I bought online from AVS, ask them for a discount price from the posted web price and you might get a bit more off
