Touch-Up Paint

Hi everyone, my neighbor that moved gave me some Porsche touch-up paint. One bottle of Indischrot 027 (Red) and one bottle of Schwarz 700 (Black). Both look like they have never been used. I have a 2008 Turbo Cab in guards red, so i cant use either of these. Just thought if anyone needs these colors please contact me and i can send them to you. Hate to toss them out if someone can use them.

Thanks,

Jim

you should know 027 is guards red .

the color code 84A and 027 are guards red . they are the same colors

indishrot color code is 025 ,2525 , 2510 or LM3A

so if your car has a color code of 84A the 027 touch up will work .
but on the other hand there are 17 variants of guards red .
a variant is just a option of the same color code .

The black paint has found a new home. Thanks for the info 962, i have the window sticker from my car but it does not list the paint code. Do you know where the paint code is on the car?

depending on what your car came with option wise you will find the color codes in one of 3 places on the new porsche's
the 1st is in the trunk it could be either on the fire wall or under the carpet were the front bumper is .
it also could be right on the drivers side door jam next to the production date sticker .
or the last place is in the engine compartment most of the time if it's in the engine compartment it's on the left side near the strut tower .
if it's not what is called a 99 , 999 or 9999 color porsche only offered one solid color red for the year of 2009 it's guards red color # 84A .
the L in the color code does not really mean any thing it's just the 1st letter in the german word for paint ( lackierung ) . so it just tells you your looking at the color code when you see
L84A

Hey 962porsche,

I found the code under the hood and it's L84A, so it looks like i have the correct touch up paint for my car. Here is to hoping that i never have to use it :) Thanks for your help with this, i appreciate it.
