Stripping a targa bar back to stainless

Anyone have any tips on this. I was just going to use poly stripper. What should I expect after the paint is off. am I likely to have a lot of polishing?

Thanks

In preparation for powder coating my Targa rail, I recently had mine off to strip the paint. I used Circa 1848 stripper, it uses the same active ingredient (methylene chloride) as Polystripa. Worked great. There was some greenish primer? remaining after the stripper did it's thing but sanding took the rest of that off. It will take some time and effort for you to get a shiny stainless finish but it is possible. Good luck!
