Can you put 964 guts in a 911 body ???

Still trying to fix a 964 crashed....as it looks right now a coupe body is damn hard to find or it comes with a price that is half the complete car .

So my question to you is can you take a 911 G model body from lets say 1987 and make the neccesary modifications to suit all donor parts from 964 c2 ?

It would be a PITA but it is possible?

Anything is possible. The question is, is it worth it if you need to do a lot of cutting and modding?

That being said I don't think a 911 G body and a 964 are all that different.

That would be a great post to follow so if anyone has a lead please share it.

This is not my first choice but it seems 964 rollers are not easy to find theses days at reasonable prices .

Thanks for input .....and not calling me crazy

this was kind of covered on your other posting .
yes you can swap the drive line over but the work it takes and the money it's not really worth it .
the last swap we did at my old shop was a AWD 993 into a 1985 911 wide body .
the cost was very high and the hours where some thing like 4000 .
when it comes to swaps it's not the big things like will the motor just fit in the same space it's the 1000's of the little things .

rollers are out there and yes most will still cost a arm and a leg to get .
the only cheap ones are ones that are not worth any thing any way .
knowledge of fabrication and having the tools to do so is a must .
