Overlap Percentage - Glasurit 22 Line
Recommendations for the overlap percentage of the spray pattern for single stage Glasurit 22 line ? I was going to use 50% but I saw the number 70% with a less wet coat thrown around. Any last minute recommendations ?
If it matters, color is orange over a white sealer. |

it's all how you spray !
when it comes to over lap gun speed and so on it's not what others are doing it's how you are comfortable behind the gun spraying . I tend to do a 50% with a slow gun speed laying down the material as I want it to look . other people that have painted for me do the 70% overlap with a faster gun speed . there is just no right or wrong to the way you do your over lapping . if any one tells you there is then they know less then you do about painting . I like the 50% with a slow gun speed because I feel more relaxed doing it that way . on KEMO's posting about classes I talked about stiff arm . that is from not being relaxed behind the gun . being relaxed and being able to just take your time is when you will lay down a good finish . |

Ive never painted before and just started practicing on my rear fender im going from dark blue to a light blue color that I mixed up from various tins, end result is a mix I guess somewhere between minnerva and arrow blue, it looks great with black trim I call it marrow blue
![]() First I used a brush and a small touch up paint gun, but I found the brush work needs more rubbing when dry so its best to use a gun, If you use a gun and keep it clean and take your tie youll find your style, painting is the easiest thing on my car ive done , its lots of fun ![]() I dont know about percentages and such, I only paint till it looks good , if it doesn't I try again, experience and practice is the best teacher ![]()

Nice
Nice job. Not sure about the mixing paint part though. Will make a nightmare later to match...
