Torsion Tube repair

Any advice on how to repair this and where to obtain a tube?

Hi, I have a very early '65 911, number 704 from the factory! It has had some work on the torsion tube in its part life. Since it is matching numbers and i am rebuilding from bare metal i need to do the job properly. I have a problem with the torsion tube.
1) it does not look correct since it has been patched
2) the patch does not look like it was done very well.

Could I replace just the middle section where the tube is indented? would a LWB fit Just the middle section?
where could I source a tube? Would fabricating one work?

Thanks, I am in South Africa. I expect to have to cut the seat to weld if I don't replace the whole crossmember/tube.
