disconnecting wiring harness

Help, I am replacing the door on my 1997 bmw z3. It is unattached except for the wiring harness going through the door to the body. I assume there are some clips to move, but I can't find any. Any suggestions?

there should be a U shaped clip that holds the two half's together . you have to take a little flat blade screw driver and lift up on the center part of the U . this clip will release the halfs .
you can see the black clip in the photo kind of facing you lower part .
