1985 Targa - Door rattle / Glass?

My targa doors make a metalic rattle when I hit bumps as if the glass or window internals are loose. I notice a similar sound when I close the door. It does not close with a solid sound like some Targas of the same vitage, but sounds like something is loose on the inside - so the closing sound is hallow sounding with a rattle.

The windows operate smoothly and evenly so not sure what this could be other than maybe the internal felt which is worn. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

that off the inner door panel and look to see what is going on .
it could be a number of things so any answer would be a guess until you pull it apart and see .

I just had a similar rattle, took door apart 2 times to no avail. Then I decided to check the mirror, it was loose, tightened it with an allen and problem solved. Worth a quick check. Good luck, Tim
