Found great cheap door weatherstripping substitute!
Carrand 01058 - Weather Strip | O'Reilly Auto Parts
The felt weather stripping that runs along the roofline between the door started whistling. After 30 years, it was pretty ratty on my 930. I bought the Porsche rubber door seals, but wanted something better to replace the felt. The Porsche replacement was about 100$ for both sides. Ouch. Plus, there must be something better. Searched the net and found the modern equivalent for $12. Just installed it, and it fits and works great. Rather than screwing it in, it gets glued in. Perfect seal, super quiet, no wind noise. It's a nice modern update, and it's cheap. Looks good to. You can't tell it's been upgraded unless you really look. Also, it can fill a larger gap, which really helps along the front of the door. Highly recommended. Hope this helps someone. Pics to follow. Bo |

Yep, same stuff I used. It looks great, and is holding up really well. Much better than the original stiff porsche weatherstrip.
Fo anyone looking for a quick weekend project, this is it! Car is much quieter inside now. Bo |
