Front fender...

Hi. I've posted on the tech forum plenty of times and now getting into some body work. As it was with the technical side, this is a first for me, I have a 1970 911 targa. I took off the front fender and stripped it back, pretty good shape with a few very small rust holes and some obvious repairs from it's history. What surprised me was the amount of filler, up to 4mm in places. I would rather see the steel back to as close as possible then just skim it. Guess I'm looking for best ways to shape the fender from home, I have no tools for this yet ans looking for advice. Thanks...

Ryan, you'll need to give us some photos and a bit more context as to where you're trying to go with you fender, please. Then you'll receive more responses. Best, John in CT.

Ryan your local harbor fright has a body set of hammers and dollies for about $29. Think it was 3 hammers, 3 dollies and a slapper. Watch for coupons and sales. Your correct take it all off and than get it as close as you can. Read some of 962porsche post for great advice. Also as John said post some pics.
