Approximate Cost - Repaint 1985 Targa - Silver - Southern California

I have a 1985 Silver Targa that is 60% original and 40% respray. No dents, dings or cracks. Body and the paint surfaces are in overall good original condition - except for the paint inconsistency and clear coat micro cracking that developed on the original paint.

What should I budget for a good glass out paint job. I want a high quality (not concourse) result without going to bare metal, if possible. Although not sure if I can get there without going to metal. I am in Southern California.

I plan on replacing all of the seals for the windows, door, targa frame, lights, etc. So a breakdown of cost would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Plan on almost a grand just for door, targa, window seals et.Are you stripping the car yourself? That will save some money.

Not sure about a break down of costs, but typically depending on the quality of the paint job you're wanting they can range from $3,000-$5,000. That pricing can include all door jams and hard to reach areas as well as the engine bay. It also includes stripping the original paint down and wet sanding, etc.

Thanks for the replies and validation. A couple places I checked indicated $5k would probably do it with paint and seals - looks to be right.

Can you recommend any of the places you've found?
I live very close by (echo park) and I'm looking for the same kind of paint job: glass out but not a perfect paint job. It's for a daily driver.
If you need somewhere to strip the paint I found a soda blaster just east of Pasadena on the 210.
Can't recall the name but can look it up...
