tailights not flush
 

82SC Can't get my tailights far enough in that they're flush with the bodywork. New seals didn't help. Don't seem like the back is hitting anything. When installed they're close to 1/4" proud of the body. Anyone have this problem before?

With the taillights off have a look inside the cavity , at both ends you will see a metal mount with screw hole, ;;you can push both of these in a fraction to make the lights sit deeper in the panel.
