Fiberglass bumper repair & repaint

I have read through all of the threads I can find on this, and just want to be sure I have this right.

I have a track car that I want to make street legal - it has fiberglass bumpers. It is not a concours car - I want to keep some track heritage look to it - car is silver metallic, I want to paint the bumpers guards red, single stage. I want it to end up looking good, not a hack job - but a bit of an outlaw - (please excuse that term, but you get the idea)

I have fixed up cracks, holes, sanded off old paint. In some areas I have gone through gel coat, and now have pin holes. Here is what I am thinking about doing and using. I am doing this myself, so don't mind extra sanding etc. to learn and get a good result.

1. Polyester spray filler (not Evercoat G2) 2-3 coats, then block sand. What is best product keeping in mind following paint choice?
2. Medium build primer. 2 coats r-m or limco supreme - should I spend on R-M?
3. Single stage Limco supreme 2 coats - or again should I go R-M?

Advice appreciated

sanding thru glecoat is not a big deal .
once you have sand the imperfections out . to fill the pin holes spread a tight coat of a product like USC iceing over the pin holes and sand with 80 grit .
once you have sand and filled the area to bring it up about to the level of the old gelcoating your ready to spray a primer . featherfill offers some good products just not the G2 line so get there older polyester spray filler . apply 2 or 3 coats this should bring the repair area up to the level of the gelcoat .
once it's dry sand the area with 180 or 220 and then spray 2 coats of limco 800K or DP20 over the repair and blend it out onto the gelcoated area too . if need be you can spray the hole panel with the 8ooK or DP20 to give you a good substrate .
from here it's prep as you would for refinishing any thing else .
