Fender Panel Gap Help

I'm currently working on fitting a pair of Dansk fenders to my '77 but struggling to get the panel gaps perfect. There is some adjustment in the fenders, but after several hours this is the closest I can get.

Is there something I'm missing? Is the next step adding or removing metal? Thanks!

don't be bashful to bend the panel that the fender bolts up to that runs down the A pillar .
if it needs to be moved forward or back to align the panel gap then that is what you have to do .
a block of wood and a BFH will move it easy .

I'm in the midst of adjusting my drivers side door too. The factory manual shows how to move the door back and forth by using a hammer and a piece of hardwood. You can also shim behind the hinges and there is movement in the hinges too. I'd be interested to know what the factory did. I'm guessing they got it close with hinges and then used the hammer and wood to get the door centered back and forth.

Obscene can you give use some pics of the margins on the trailing edge and rocker panel of the door? Ditto on what 962porsche said.

Yeah you really need to size up the whole perimeter to see what needs to be done.

Hmm I don't think I have any full side shots. The doors haven't been off though and have great gaps along the rocker and trailing edge.

Obscene,

Get them fitted as told to you above. Leave the doors alone bc they're right.

Once the fitment is right w a 3mm [nom] gap, do not use any adhesive and or sealant between the fenders and tub because when i have the spare time i will paint your fenders right for you free of charge, just do the sanding and provide the paint.:)
