Waterborne Glasurit 90 Series Base coat - can it be brushed?

Very dumb question, I am getting my tub ready for spraying the interior cavities with 3M cavity was and spraying the dash area semi-gloss black...all needs to be done prior to reassembly.

On close inspection, there are a couple of spots, very remote nooks and crannies, that are well covered with primer but not completely covered with the colour/base coat.

I could mask everything up, get a small load of the Glasurit 90 series into my touch up gun and just spray .... OR .... I could just mix some up in a cup and take my artists brush to touch up the spots.

These are really, really obscure corners or areas shadowed during the spray process that are at best, visible only prior to reassembly.

....so brush it or spray it?

Dennis

I would just spray some more color and clear it if you can clean out the clear easy enough.
spraying inside of a car is a PITA ! what I always do is take two box fans and put them in a window opening pointing the fan so it's pulling the overspray out of the car ( not blowing into the car). this will keep the inside of the car pretty clear of any overspray.
is it really safe to do this ? no electric plus paint fumes could go boom!
also when I spray the inside of a car I always use big work lights pointed into the car and I have a light on my spray gun too.

That sounds practical...preferably without any sort of boom....and it is a pita.

The painter did a pretty good job of covering, but between the black I have to put on in some spots and the little shadowed areas, there is work to do.

Sounds like a plan...now just survive long enough to make it to retirement (51 working days, but who's counting?) to have the time to get the job done.

Thank you so much!

Dennis

retirement ? I retired then got tired of not working so I opened up my little shop and work here a few hours a day.
I do the yard work around the house and I'm restoring our 1900 victorian farm house. restoring the house has go me into work working now and i go race the cars at least once a week so between all that I'm keeping busy. winter things slow down so that's when I do most of the house restoration work.
when I 1st retired I was getting up at 9 sitting on the porch having my morning coffee going for a walk or bike ride that got old after 6 months.

Yes, retirement means many things....and sitting on a rocking chair, yelling at kids to get off my lawn probably won't cut it.

I have about 2 years of work planned including finishing my 911 project, selling all three of my houses and buying two that suit my retirement plans better - with all the attendant projects that will bring.

...and there are folks that want me for some part time work without the nutty hours I normally have kept but which will keep my brain active and put a few shekels into the till.....

I have tried retirement 3 times before, learned from each one what NOT to do, so I think I have it pretty straight at least for the next few years.

Thanks for your advice....always appreciated

Dennis
