Best die grinder bit?
I want to grind sheet metal on the car to a line for rust repair. Seems like a die grinder bit would work well followed by a mini belt sander for ideal welding.
I've been looking for a good die grinder bit and all I see are sets of ten bits for $15. I have a hard time believing that such an inexpensive set would do a good job and last. Can anyone recommend the ideal shape and brand for what I'm trying to accomplish? Thanks!

use a cutoff wheel or a air nibbler. clean up with a small 1.5" sanding disc. The die grinder may rip the metal.

In my experience, die grinder used on steel last about 30 seconds... Even 10$ ones...
And, no way to sharpen. Waste of money. On aluminum, they work great. |

The mini belt sander also works amazingly well for removing spot welds. I'm no longer destroying the underlying panels to remove them. I also use the 3M Cubitron belts. There may be better methods, I'm no pro, but this is working for me. I'm not affiliated with 3M or anything. Hope this helps.

Good suggestions. Puma, your experience with the cheap wheels describes the same issue I'm having. Thanks for the input.
